Theme Verse: Genesis 39:21 – “But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favor.”

SHOW NOTES: There are many lessons for us to learn and wisdom to glean from the lives of people found in the pages of Scripture. Some good examples and some mistakes that provide valuable guidelines and warnings for us to observe and follow. Joseph has been sold into slavery by his 10 older, jealous brothers and finds himself serving in the house of Potiphar. After Potiphar’s wife attempts to seduce Joseph, she lies about him, and Joseph is put into prison. Sometimes God puts His choice servants on a shelf. It seems like God has forgotten Joseph! However, the Lord was with Joseph in every circumstance of His life. He showed him steadfast love and gave him favor. We have a faithful God even when we can’t see Him working – in the midst of a storm, walking in a dark valley, or even … sitting in a prison.  Scripture: Genesis 39:1–41:32
